Krka river National Park

Only 30 miles away from Trogir, Krka national park will amaze you with its unpolluted natural beauties. Sound of the crystal clear water that flows from karst, with cheerful birds chirping, will relax you right away, instantly switching your state of mind into the primordial state of purity.

The water system of the river Krka, along with its numerous waterfalls and lakes, has been established as a national park since 1985.

The most impressive features of the park are waterfalls Skradinski buk and Roski slap. Skradinski buk is the highest and the most beautiful waterfall in the park, easily accessible by a number of lanes and bridges. Roski slap is a group of waterfalls, cascades and tuff islets.

Swimming is allowed only at specified locations in the park.

Beside the waterfalls, the must-visit spot of the park is the Monastery of St. Archangel, situated on an islet in the middle of Visovac lake. The monastery with church built in Byzantine style preserves a valuable art collection and library.

The local customs have been presented within charming watermills constructed in the 19th century - learn more about weving, horseshoeing or traditional production of flour

Located partly on the island and partly at the foot of verdant hills, Trogir is like an architectural jewel set into a natural harmony of the blue and green.
