Valamar Dubrovnik President Hotel reviews

Dubrovnik Old city can be easily reached within 15 min by bus. The bus station is nearby the hotel. The staff is friendly and nice. The receptionist changed overnight, and the guy who was checking me out did not know anything about my taxi request. Luckily, it was early morning, and even within limited timeframe I was able to get for my plane all right. I also did not fully understand the reason for reserving the money on my credit card upon arrival in the amount EXCEEDING the room price.

Amazing view from the room/restaurant/bar/beach... Very nice, clean rooms. Bus number 6 (and also 5 I think) start from right in front of the hotel, and take you to Old Town in 20 minutes. (Mostly tourists use it as I saw).

The view from our room was spectacular. The bus stop out front is great since we are the first stop into town so you always have a seat. Only used the restaurant for breakfast which was very nice, with many items to choose from. Very difficult to get coffee in the morning at the buffet.

Food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Location by the sea was a great plus for us and it takes only 15 to 20 minutes to reach the old town of Dubrovnik. The shower is not suitable for tall people.

Our room (honeymoon suite) was so big! Plus we had a really large terrace overlooking the sea. Bus stop right out the front that takes you to Old Town. Food outside of breakfast at the hotel was OK.

The hotel has a nice location on the coast. My three children and I were given rooms which were sandwiched between the main building sticking out and the right side of the hotel where the rooms are much closer to the sea. While the front desk manager was very polite, based on our experience I cannot recommend this hotel.

The location was excellent for seaside views and walks. Good bus service to Dubrovnik old Town. A la carte restaurant was not very exciting but there were lots of good restaurants nearby and in the old town.

Plenty of hanging space. Good size room. Indoor pool and facilities good. Enjoyed having gluten free products. Shower unit very old. Limited bathroom accessories, shampoo/shower gel in same bottle, no shower cap etc. Balcony doors difficult for people with arthritic problems & mostly older people in hotel. Long wait for lifts with only 2 in hotel. Spent 4 days in wellness center but didn't know about them.

Location of hotel with its stunning sea views is excellent with frequent busses every 10-15 minutes to take you to old town. Food was great which you could have on their beautiful patio overlooking the sea and watching the sunsets. Overall a wonderful experience!
