Stunning scenery, sea clear and calm, great for swimming. Hotel is small, clean and comfortable, bedroom we had was large, dining room lacks atmosphere, bit like a canteen. It's the location which is outstanding and we plan to return. Was fantastic.

No parking place available when arrived, parked at public area. Room with view for promenade was beautiful but extremely noisy. Very limited number of sun beds at swimming pool. Limited meals availability, although what was proposed was quite good. Other points were really quite good.

The beach was spotless and although pebbles was fantastic. The front had many bars, cafes and restaurants. It was a great place for families. The hotel was only 2 stories high and had good spacious rooms with comfy beds and pillows. Good air conditioning as very hot all week.

Thrilled with the small hotel annex, which had a feel of luxury. We were put into a suite on the second floor which was truly amazing. Breakfast choice was very good and staff very friendly and attentive. Rooms were cleaned daily and towel change when wanted. Restaurant was well decorated and you could eat outside when sunny. We had best seafood pizza ever there.

Our room was always maintained well by very pleasant staff. The position of the hotel could not be better, only 2 minutes from the beach. The dining room staff were happy, pleasant and courteous as were the bar staff.

The Kastelet is an 'annex' to the Hotel Alga. The staff was very helpful and, with one exception, very friendly, but the facilities very poor given the very high room rate. The breakfast room was old and shabby, table cloths not clean and the commandant in charge told us that we must sit at a particular table each day of our stay.

On arrival we were shown to a room that was NOTHING like the photos and horrid - the receptionist told me that there was absolutely nothing else available as the hotel was fully booked. The hotel is an extension of hotel Alga - and the pool is shared. Woken up twice in night by very loud drunk Germans having a sing-song outside. Although the hotel boasts a gym and sauna, this costs extra. Very poor value for money.

The Hotel Kastelet, which is part of the Bluesun Hotel chain, is somewhat rundown, but the rooms and bathrooms are large, which is not always the case in Europe. We had access to the Bluesun Hotel's other amenities, such as the Hotel Alga's pools, restaurants and bars.

The whole place was wonderfully peaceful. I bet it’s not as quiet as the season gets under way. The hotel is near perfect. The rooms were quite large, well equipped and comfortable. The staff was all friendly and almost all spoke pretty good English. There has been a little criticism of the food elsewhere, but we couldn't fault it. Breakfast was the usual cross between 'Continental' and 'English', a buffet with plenty of different cold meats, breads, etc
