Palace Derossi reviews

The staff we're extremely friendly and helpful. One afternoon they even invited me to their apartment for lunch and entertained me with a delicious lunch, homemade Grappa, local wine and then played me some folk songs on their guitar. Breakfast is limited. WIFI worked well in the courtyard but there's no coverage in the bedrooms.

Trogir is a "little Venice". Hotel is perfect place to stay after chartering yacht from Trogir.

We had 4 rooms 2 royal and 2 standard - but the standards wereupgraded so we could stay together. Breakfast was not to good - require cooling of ham/cheese and other toppings.

It is conveniently close ( 50 meters) to the bus station where you can catch bus 37 to Split airport and Split town every 30 minutes. Rooms located at the front of the hotel are very noisy due to a bar on the ground floor. Trogir itself is spectacular. Breakfast was decent enough, with fresh scrambled eggs.

We love this pretty ‘palace’ hotel right in the middle of town. The bathroom is very modern and versatile. The breakfast was very good and they took the trouble to mail back to me a book which I left behind at their cost.

This was my first visit to Croatia and it was an excellent characterful introduction. I had no noise from the bar and I had a great view of the distant mountains. Other people staying at the same time in rooms over the bar had to keep their windows closed overnight. The 5.30am church bells will be heard throughout the town. It's a tradition that has been going on for hundreds of years, after all.

The staff is pleasant and courteous, staff speaks several languages so no issues. Location is excellent however if sea view is important not a location to choose. Reasonable and great value for this extremely clean 3* Bed and breakfast style hotel. Unfortunately out of the control of the Palace Derossiis the bar downstairs. The hotel is walk up and south side rooms are quiet. Mario is professional, caring and goes out if his way to please guests with sightseeing trips.

The hotel is a cluster of buildings surrounding a courtyard where you can take breakfast if the weather is good, which it was while we were there. However, the traffic was nothing compared to the music and chatter emanating from the late night bar on the ground floor (music until 2.00 a.m. on Saturday night) and other late night bars along the same road. If you had a room on another side of building you would experience less, or no, noise from these bars.

The courtyard has a lot of charm it is the only usable outdoor space available,with hard dining chairs to sit on. There is a large roof terrace which is totally empty and unused. The room was very clean and the bathroom was modern with loads of hot water.
