Hotel Slavija reviews

Customer service was excellent before we even arrived and throughout our entire stay. We did the walking tour with Mirjana who was absolutely fantastic! Just so you understand, we are NOT a walking tour/museum type of family. Even our 15 year old son enjoyed the tour.

While visiting we learned that it is the oldest hotel in Split with some construction dating to the 12th century. The key advantage to staying in the old city is that the ambiance and all the restaurants are just a short walk.

Thankfully, everyone in Croatia is super helpful. My husband and I just returned from 10 days in Croatia. We even had our own terrace! The hotel was super modern with air conditioning, comfy beds and a nice breakfast in the morning (included with room). Great hotel!!

Mirjana will be one of the friendliest, helpful people you will find in Croatia! The hotel does not have a lift, but the ever helpful staff carries your bag anyway. The decor of the hotel is modern and fresh. We had a balcony room, which was spacious, clean, including the modern bathroom. We found the rooms quiet, even overlooking the nightlife.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Over and above helpful service in my opinion. It was a bit noisy at night but not enough to prevent a good night’s sleep.

Imagine our surprise and delight when our guide led us to Hotel Slavija, a modern establishment tucked right into the walls of this 1700-year-old Roman ruin! The location is outstanding, being right in the center of Split’s most famous landmark, near the Roman Mausoleum and Temple of Jupiter.

We've booked a room online in Slavija, Split, and what a fantastic surprise! We've been in the middle of everything, enjoyed the true Mediterranean-city atmosphere. It tends to get a bit loud at night, but the windows and the AC made it all go away when we finally got back to our room to get some sleep.

Location was right in the middle of the action (not wild, but lively). Rooms were very nice and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

It is in a great location and I really loved the modern, minimalist interior but it seemed sort of temporary. The staff was very friendly - apparently they are trained to be culturally and environmentally sensitive. They carried breakfast up to our room so that we could eat on the terrace which was lovely. The location right in the old city is unsurpassable and you can always go out to eat. We were on the 3rd floor; our cases were small so this was not a problem for us but maybe for others.
