We booked in at very short notice at this comfortable hotel. A double room was well worth L165, including excellent breakfasts on the terrace. All this and a short and pleasant walk to the old town.

The hotel has a great location, directly across from the beach and about a 10 minute walk to down town Split. The outside of the hotel is very nice, with palm trees (light up at night), large patio / outside dining area. However I was very disappointed with the rooms. The staff was very unfriendly and not welcoming.

Things I liked: Location is great, it's close to the sea and the outside terrace is extremely romantic for dinner and breakfast. The building looks very traditional with nice colored shades. The rooms are clean and the bed is XL providing awesome sleeping quality. Things I didn't like: As I understood, there are weddings taking place really often during summer period so the noise can be a factor to not choose this hotel. Not for me as I luckily left on the day of the wedding party.

It was a grand old place that could do with a bit of TLC but that didn't really detract from the overall feel of the place. The hotel is an easy walk to the main town and has a lovely outlook over the only sandy beach for miles.

Nice location with easy walk to the center. However by bedroom was really small, furniture was a bit dated. The service at reception was less than average and price was expensive.

Nice property with a nice patio, outdoor bar and music in the evenings under the horse chestnuts. The shower was very good; no Balkan water world here as with other bath/shower combos in Slovenia. Minibar, safe and TV were available. The service was prompt. The room and halls were gently used and faded but acceptable.

Nice hotel. Lovely terrace. Good food. Lift out of action the whole time we were then. Had to carry 2 heavy cases up (and down) 6 flights of stairs. Cannot understand how the hotel is allowing this situation to continue. No swimming pool.

Wow, were we ever impressed when we arrived! OK, the reception was impersonal; we should have had a clue. Small rooms, looking as if they were done in the 60's, tired looking, big disappointment. Thankfully Split is full of things to see and do, so we spent as little time as possible in that dreary room.
