Hotel Biokovo reviews

We were lucky to have a great room on the second floor at the front of the hotel with a beautiful view over the sea. The food is not particularly sophisticated but we always found something we liked. You can easily assemble a lovely dinner from the lean fish/meats and salads available or go for the more standard sauces/chips options. I am sure that the standard of the food in the front restaurant is much higher.

All staff was very friendly and attentive. The self service areas were in the corners of the dining room and that made them quite difficult to use when the restaurant was busy. The food was very well cooked, but was often tepid and unpalatable. Makarska is teeming with very reasonably priced restaurants. The central location was a big plus.

The best thing about Hotel Biokovo is its location. From the hotel you have only a few minutes’ walk anywhere in Makarska. The breakfast was below average and the staff was friendly or helpful only if you asked something. The room was a little dated but it was clean. There was a nice and quite a new bathroom though. The free Wi-Fi worked well all around the hotel.

The location of this hotel is really great, right in the Makarska harbor with about 5-10 min walk to the beaches. The check-in and check-out went smoothly! The room was really boring. They should really try to update them a little bit. The bed was hard but I liked it. The room door was a little bit broken so you had to push really hard to open/close it.

Its location right next to the promenade of Makarska makes it worth to stop, and so does the restaurant along the beachside, which also is operated by the hotel. Rooms are somewhat dark and even with all light switched on does not change much. No service to take the car to the garage!

Its opposite of the marina and there is the old city and many restaurants nearby. If you want to take a boat trip, you just have to cross the street. The breakfast buffet has a good selection and the staff was friendly and helpful. There is no elevator, which could be a problem for handy caped persons.

The staff was attentive and the location was brilliant. The place was very busy with locals but that did not hinder the service. Would recommend it as a great place to relax.

For the price and position this is a good deal. We had bed and breakfast for 7 days and eat the buffet dinner in the hotel for a few nights.

It was pleasant. The hotel was in a perfect location right in the city. Lots of bars and cafes down stairs so are warned it can be noisy. The room was very spacious. Shower was great. Everything in the room worked apart from the Wi-Fi. We parked our car in the hotel garage which is about 150m away from the hotel. And not easy to find.
